Sh*t My Husband Says Pt. 2

Me driving home after picking him up from drinking with some friends...
Husband: "You are my puzzle piece. You know the piece with the 3 corners that doesn't fit anywhere but one specific spot? You are that piece and I found you so now I'm complete. I'm in this for the long haul. So now that my puzzle is complete I can spray paint it with glue so it's stuck together forever in a binding of love."
Later that night as we are laying in bed trying to go to sleep...
Husband: "Mumble grumble blah blah"
Me: "What???"
Husband: "Nothing.  Shh. You're a Toys R' Us Kid" Starts snoring

Me: "Babe you have chocolate on your arm."
Husband: That's not chocolate. That's doo doo baby."

I Married Ed Gein (Spa Night)

I picked up two cheapo clay masks at the store the other day and insisted the Husband try them with me. He picked out the package with the creepy ass mud magically being sucked onto the woman's face. Kinda reminds me of The Mask and makes me think she is going to turn into some kind of monster. Anywho...I chose the purple package.
Upon purchasing these I had no idea Jake's was a real mask with clay stuck to it that you just slap to your face while mine was a loose clay that you put on with your fingers. As soon as I put the mask on Jake I immediately called him leather face because it looked like I was putting someone's skin on his face and it was creepy. I called him that the rest of the time he had it on. Tell me there isn't a resemblance? It's skin tone for pete's sake.
Oh my gosh. There's celebrity  serial killer behind me and I'm photo bombing him. AHH!
Peeling his victim's skin off. Such a great moisturizer!
Ok Ok...over all I really liked these things and so did Jake. They did leave our skin pretty soft and it was a fun thing to do together. I love that my hubby isn't afraid to do some girly things with me!
Have any of you tried these things?

Christmas Tag!

This year, I was tagged by Alex over at Munchkins and the Military for a fun little game of Christmas tag. Alex tagged ten friends and asked ten questions. After I answer these questions, I'm going to tag ten of my friends to answer the same questions.

1.       What do you love the most about Christmas time?
The thing I love the most about Christmas is all the lights. I love all the colors and happiness and brightness that lights up our homes during this time of the year! It's just so beautiful!
2.       Do you celebrate the holiday in style or is Bah-Humbug for you?
I am the type of person who would go all out if I could afford it/if my Husband wasn't such a scrooge. We put up our tree and stockings and that is about it. We also started the Elf on the Shelf and that is a really fun tradition, even if you don't have kids. I wanted to get family pictures with the Husband, dogs, and me and make Christmas cards but Jake said it was weird and wouldn't do it with me. Kinda bummed me out but I can't make him do something he doesn't want to do. Hopefully with time he will warm up to the idea of going all out this time of the year.
3.       Are you leaving anything out for Santa Claus this year so he remembers to leave your presents?
No. We don't have children and we are old enough to know that Santa doesn't exist. When kids come along I think it would be fun to leave out some cookies for him but until then no treats for him.
4.       What is the one gift you are most looking forward to GIVING? {It can be to your kids, another family member, etc – remember to be discreet if they read your blog!}
Every present I'm giving to people they already know what it is. I'm getting the Hubby a new motorcycle jacket and he seems pumped about that so I guess that's the one I am most excited for!
5.       What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie?
Rudolf. Hands down. Great story, great lessons, and who doesn't love an adorable baby deer?
6.       What is your all-time favorite Christmas song?
"Where are you Christmas" by Faith Hill

7.       If given the opportunity would you participate in an “Ugly Sweater” party and what sweater would you wear?  Peruse one on the internet or even in your own closet and show us!
Oh hell yeah. I even have an ugly sweater picked out for next year. Didn't have enough time to get it this year. But here she is. Isn't she a beauty?
Amazon.com: Alex Stevens Men's Santa-Saurus Rex Ugly Christmas Sweater: Clothing

8.       Have you started any Christmas traditions this year that you plan on carrying forward?
We started Elf on the Shelf! I have many others I plan on doing in the future such as, Christmas Pickle, new Jammies and new book Christmas Eve that we read together as a family.
9.       It’s Christmas morning … what does it look like outside where you live?
The sun is shining, the sky is blue. For the first time in my life there is no snow on the ground. It's a little chilly but we solve that problem by staying in our sweats all day long.
10.   You just found yourself standing under the mistletoe … who comes up to give you a kiss first?
My Hubby. He would most likely grab me, dip me, and make it all fancy. =]

And now for my ten tags. Answer these same questions, tag ten friends of your own, and then come back here and leave the link to your post! Thanks Alex!!

DIY Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball Ornament

I know there is a lot of hate and judgement surrounding Miley right now but I love the new her and I love her new music! In honor of her I made my very own Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball Ornament!
The steps are pretty straight forward.
1). Print out the image of her below.
2). Glue her onto a thicker piece of paper. I used construction paper but card stock would work really good too.
3). Cut her out.
4). Use superglue and glue her butt to the topper on the ornament.
5). Then superglue the string to the back of her hands.
6). Hang on tree!

Swap Meet

I had never been to a Swap Meet on a Wednesday night before, but apparently San Diego does things differently! There was a swap meet that goes down just a few minutes from our house every week and last night we decided to go check it out and see if we could find anything that would work as Christmas gifts for our families.
We didn't end up finding anything for them, but I did find some things I would like. Don't worry I held back and didn't buy anything. I need to save my money to finish getting gifts for the people in my life. Despite not finding anything to buy we did have a good time walking around looking at things. They even had a live band and some great food trucks to chose from! Husband ended up getting some Carne Asada Fries and I got regular fries. They were delicious.
Since I have been working every weekend my Husband and I haven't had any time to do anything aside from watching tv together so this little mini date was something I really needed. You know when they say the military gets in the way of your spending time together? Well ever since getting my job it's been MY job that gets in the way of us being together, not his. Just funny how that worked out. I'm hoping the organization I work for will hire new staff soon so I won't be stuck on every weekend which has been going on for the past couple months. People keep quitting and I don't understand why. Sure the pay is crappy but the work isn't that bad. Just makes things shitty for those of us who stick around.
I got a little off track there. Anywho, we had a lot of fun spending some time together, looking at unique goods, eating yummy food, and listening to a decent band.

My Husband the Sickly Creature

This morning I accompanied the Hubs to the Allergy Clinic to get a scratch test done to see if we can pinpoint exactly what he has reactions to. He has really bad allergies and gets sick quite often. When that happens I get texts like this.
Yes, the poor thing ripped a decent sized hole in his cargo shorts. Yes, I laughed at his expense. That's just how our relationship is! So we got some interesting answers at the clinic today!
Hey everyone! I'm about to be pricked with needles containing chemicals from various trees, grasses, weeds, molds,  mites, and animals! Can you sense my excitement?
This is what it looked like right after he was pricked. You can already see reactions starting.
This is what it looked like at the end. Turns out he is VERY reactive to dust mites, cats, and two types of ragweed. He had mild reactions to many of the other things too. It's good to have some answers as to what is causing him to get so sick. He has been on some medication that seems to be working really well for him, and he was given a new one (a nasal spray) today. I hope it keeps him comfortable because when he gets sick, he gets really sick, and who wants to see their loved one sick and miserable? Although I do enjoy teasing him a little bit about it...but I guess I can live without that ;).
I'm happy he is allergic to cats. I hate cats and he loves cats and wants cats but now I have a great excuse to not ever get a cat! I was also glad to see that he isn't allergic to dogs. So when we got home I told the girls we could keep them now that daddy isn't getting sick from them! Pfft like I would ever get rid of my dogs anyway. No. Husband would have to suck it up and live with if that were the case. I also plan on dusting the whole house today since he is so reactive to dust mites. Hopefully that will help too. His doctor also recommended we get a plastic covering for the bed. I guess that helps keep dust mites away? So overall, it seems like Hubby will be feeling better in no time with his new meds and me dusting and vacuuming the house more! Yay! I love being in good health and not having any allergies or health issues whatsoever! I do think it would be fun and interesting to take a scratch test though. Just to see it!
Do any of you have allergies? How do you cope with them?

Kohls Haul!

I usually don't shop at Kohls. Not sure why, I love their style and they really aren't that expensive. I saw that they were having some killer deals for Black Friday so I went online and picked out a few things.

First up we have this adorable Pikachu sweater and a very comfy 3 piece pajama set. I love Pokemon. I won't shy away from that fact so naturally I felt I needed this sweater! I had recently torn a hole in the crotch of my favorite pair of pajama bottoms and all my fuzzy socks have huge holes too. I felt it was time to replace them. So I found this awesomely comfy pajama set which happens to be in my favorite color.
Regular Price: $30
I paid: $9.99
Regular Price: $40.00
I paid: $19.99
When I found these leggings I fell in love!!! Growing up in the 90s, I was a huge fan of The Lion King. I also really love the sky and stars. These leggings are perfect! I am going to wear the crap out of these. Don't worry, I always match my leggings with long tops that cover my ass. I was just too lazy to put one on in the picture.
Regular Price: $24.00
I paid: $12.00
Lastly, I got this beautiful dress! I love leopard print and I can't wait to wear this on a romantic date with the husband.

Speechless Animal Lace Dress

Regular Price: $48.00
I paid: $23.99

Overall, this haul cost me $60.56 with the sale prices, free shipping, and a 15% off coupon.
I ended up saving a little over $100!
I also earned $15 Kohls cash to use on my next purchase.
I was in need of new clothes and I have a rule for each new item of clothing I buy-I have to get rid of one old item I already have.
I also just noticed my dog photo bombed every single picture. She was in the leggings pictures too I just cropped her out.
Klingy much dog?

My Holiday Wishlist

I normally don't ask for much for Christmas. I'm more of a giver than a taker and I've always felt weird getting gifts from people-even family. This year I thought I would go ahead and put together a little list for family, the husband, and for myself because all these things I would love to own one day!
1). Run Like A Zombie Is Chasing You Tank. I love zombies. I love tanks. & I would love to wear this during our outdoor runs and trips to the gym! It's cool, unique, awesome, and it makes working out fun! It is a bit spendy though with a price tag of $27.00.
2). Essie Encrusted Treasures. I am OBSESSED with nail polish and when I saw this new collection by Essie I knew I had to have it. You need to look at swatches to get the best feel for it but it's textured and has little sequin-like things in it and it's just so pretty! I want them all but with a price tag of $8.50 per bottle, I would settle for the black or the blue.
3). Doggy Sign. Our house is seriously lacking in the Decor Department. I need more things to cover these bare white walls that I'm not allowed to paint! This sign is perfect for our lives because our two dogs are everything to me and they are what makes this place a complete home! Only $12.45.
4). Camera Strap. I bought a Rebel T3i last year and have yet to really do anything with it. I really want to learn how to operate it better and try my hand at amateur photography. I love Leopard and I love anything that will brighten up an object. I found this Camera Strap on Etsy and I thought it would be perfect for adding some color and fun to my camera!  It's super cute and only $19.95!!
5). Vintage American Flag Infinity Scarf. I have a small obsession with scarves. I love them, I love 'Murica, and I love how vintage it looks! Found this gem on Etsy for only $19.99.
6). A basket of Chihuahuas! Everyone who knows me knows I love dogs, especially Chihuahuas so I thought I would be silly and put them on my list. My husband and family know how much I want another dog but our housing only allows us to have two and we have already reached our max. I'll remember this one for the future!
7). Woodland Print Set. Just some art to spruce up the house. I love animals and these little prince themed cuties are awesome! $30.00.
8). Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera LensAs mentioned before, I really want to start using my camera more. This 50mm lens will help me with portraits and close up shots which I tend to take a lot of! I also take a lot of low light shots indoors and with the high aperture settings this lens provides I will be able to take some great shots! $110.
9). Silhouette Cameo. I love crafting things and being creative. I could do so much with this machine! I really want to experiment with working with Vinyl. Decals for the car, home decor, gifts for people, you name it this machine can do it. I can also cut out letters and patterns on paper for any future care packages I will have to send to the Husband. I would LOVE this machine! $299.00.
10). Last but not least I love gift cards. Specifically for stores like Target, JcPenney, Forever 21, Ikea, Olive Garden, Applebees, or AMC movie theaters. You can't go wrong with a gift card!

What do you have on your wishlists this year?
