Remember Me Thursday

Be a Part of the Awareness Movement

Each year, Over 3.4 million orphan shelter pets lose their lives without finding their forever home.

We invite YOU to be a part of this global awareness campaign by helping us spread the message.
Animal-lovers and animal welfare organizations across the globe will unite on Thursday, September 26, 2013 (the fourth Thursday of September, annually) with a Remember Me Thursday pet candle-lighting ceremony. The candles, which will be lit on the exact same day across the world, will honor the millions of pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home and shine a light on the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption. The Remember Me Thursday global awareness campaign encourages individuals to light a candle this day (literally or virtually) and to opt to adopt, reducing the millions of orphan pets euthanized each year.
Today I will be lighting a candle for all the pets who have lost their lives in shelters across the globe. I take this time to stress how important it is for you all to spay and neuter your pets! Working in an animal shelter and hearing stories from the founder about how animals used to be treated in shelters has made me an ever stronger advocate for "fixing" pets. Help save lives and adopt your next best friend, DON'T contribute to this deadly overpopulation crisis we now face.

  1. It's sad how many pets never get to experience a family's love!
